Now don't worry, the title was clickbait. I have no intention of deleting this account or leaving DeviantArt.

Rather, I would like to abandon this username and make a change. I made this account when I was 12 (13 years ago, holy shit) and back then, I had no creativity when it came to coming up with usernames. So every name I came up with was some variation of my real name. jadelh being one of them. I was fine with this for a while but in recent years, I've kind of grown to hate it. The first reason is that I don't really feel comfortable having my real name out there, and I especially don't like when complete strangers call me by it.

And the second reason is that it just isn't cool. It's really boring for a username. And it's not even capitalized! Come on, 12-year-old me, what were you thinking!?

Which is why I've started using another name: SombreStarling. This is the name I use on Instagram, YouTube, Newgrounds (Which predates my DeviantArt, but I recently renamed it), Discord, Pinterest and Steam.

I've considered changing the name of this account to SombreStarling, but I'm not sure if I should. Since I've had this account for over a decade, it's been through a lot. Including those times when I was a much less mature person. I've said and done a lot of dumb stuff. And not all of it can be removed so if I change my username, it will follow me.

The other solution is to abandon this account and make a new one, a clean slate free of the shame from the past. But if I do that, it will feel like throwing away everything. I would have to move all my stuff over and inform all my friends and RP partners of the new account, which just seems like a hassle. And I would have to build up my following all over again (Not that I have much of an active following to begin with...)

So while I haven't decided yet, I know one thing for sure: I no longer wish to go by jadelh.

Hello, I'm a beginner artist who wants to try taking cash commissions for the first time.

I can draw a coloured full body piece for $10 ($5 for each additional character)

If you're commissioning an OC, I'd prefer if you have a reference pic (Doesn't have to be a drawing. References made with Picrew, Gacha or Kisekae can work too). If you don't have a pic, a written description will suffice if it's detailed enough. Also this is optional, but I prefer if you give me a pose to draw your OC in. Or at least tell me their personality, occupation or a hobby of theirs so I can pick a pose that suits them.

I wanna draw something for Halloween this year since I haven't done so in a long time. I also want to practice drawing chibis, so why not mash those together? Hence, I'm taking chibi requests. They must be Halloween themed so please request either a horror/goth aesthetic character, a monster girl/boy character or a normal character in a Halloween costume.

-I prefer OCs who have a reference but I can work from a description if you give me enough details. Also this is optional, but I prefer if you give me a pose to draw your OC in. Or at least describe their personality so I can pick a pose that suits them.

-I can do couples too. Any gender combination is fine with me. However, I won't do any abusive or pedophilic couples.

-Blood is allowed. After all, what's Halloween without a bit of blood?

-If it's fanart, it has to be something I'm interested in. There are too many things to list so just ask and I'll let you know if I can do it or not.

This RP is open for anyone who has an OC that is a monster girl or monster boy. Although I might be willing to do fandom stuff. No regular humans (Quinn isn't interested in them). And no furries or non-humanoid creatures either.
